One of the hardest part of scale models is to get the color scheme right and the graphics to scale. As I am in the software industry for design and manufacturing I been using these technologies for many years. The graphics where created by scanning the images and on AutoCAD creating the vector shapes for the graphics. One of the main benefits on vector base technology for graphics is that you can scale up and down to any size without loosing the resolution of the graphics. If you just work with images as  graphics,  any time you scale up and down you loose the quality of the image to very poor standards. I also used Adobe Illustrator to manipulate the graphics but AutoCAD as always did an outstanding job here.
